AZUL Security Policy
This section includes the payment security policy required for online
card processing through authorized third-party payment services such
as AZUL.
Website Security
El Kaoba Hotel & Residence takes all reasonable measures and
precautions to protect guests’ personal information and follows
industry best practices to help ensure that information is not used
inappropriately, altered or destroyed.
Information submitted through authorized online channels should be
protected using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Payment-related
information entered on an authorized payment page is expected to be
handled using secure encryption standards, including AES-256 where
applicable, and in accordance with PCI-DSS requirements.
Payment Processing
The payment methods used by El Kaoba Hotel & Residence for online
card payments are provided by authorized third-party services,
including AZUL. These third-party services comply with applicable
security and encryption standards to help keep payment information
secure.
These providers will only use the information necessary to complete
the required payment process. Guests are also encouraged to review
the privacy and security policies of the applicable payment provider
to better understand how their submitted information is handled.

Use Only Our Authorized Payment Process
Guests should submit payment information only through the official
El Kaoba website, the authorized Cloudbeds Booking Engine or the
secure payment page provided during the reservation process.
1. How Online Payments Work
When making a direct reservation, guests may be redirected from the
official El Kaoba reservation process to an authorized payment page
to complete the transaction.
Review the Reservation
The guest reviews the selected room, reservation dates, number of
guests, services, taxes and total amount.
Confirm the Amount and Currency
The applicable amount and currency will be displayed before the
guest confirms the transaction. Payments may be presented in
Dominican pesos (DOP) or United States dollars (USD).
Complete the Payment Securely
Payment information must be entered directly on the authorized
payment page and should never be sent through unsecured messages.
Receive Confirmation
After a successful transaction, the guest will receive a payment
or reservation confirmation through the contact information
provided during the booking process.
2. Protection of Payment Information
El Kaoba Hotel & Residence takes reasonable precautions to direct
guests only to authorized channels for online reservation payments.

El Kaoba does not request that guests send complete card details
through email, WhatsApp, social media or other unsecured channels.
3. Card Information and Storage
Complete card information submitted during an online payment should be
entered directly through the authorized payment page made available as
part of the reservation process.
El Kaoba Hotel & Residence does not intentionally collect or store
complete payment-card numbers, card security codes or other complete
card credentials through its regular website forms, email accounts,
WhatsApp or social-media channels.
Payment information submitted through an authorized third-party page
is handled according to that provider’s payment-processing and
security procedures.
Important security reminder
Never send a complete credit-card number, expiration date and
security code through email, WhatsApp, SMS or social media. If you
receive a suspicious payment request claiming to represent El Kaoba,
contact the hotel before proceeding.
4. Accepted Cards and Secure Authentication
The available card brands and payment options will be displayed on the
authorized payment page before the transaction is completed. Online
card payments may include additional authentication through Visa Secure
or Mastercard ID Check when required by the card issuer.

Online card transactions may use additional identity-verification
services provided by Visa Secure and Mastercard ID Check. When
required, the cardholder may be asked to complete an additional
verification step directly with their issuing bank before the
transaction can be authorized.
Card acceptance and authentication remain subject to the authorized
payment provider, issuing bank, card status, applicable limits and
transaction authorization.
5. Transaction Authorization
Submission of a payment does not automatically guarantee approval.
Transactions may be approved, declined, reviewed or delayed by the
payment provider, the issuing bank or the card network.
El Kaoba Hotel & Residence is not responsible for a declined
transaction caused by insufficient funds, incorrect information,
card restrictions, bank security controls or other decisions made by
the financial institution.
A reservation will only be considered paid when the transaction has
been successfully authorized and confirmed.
6. Payment Confirmation and Receipt
Following a successful online payment, the guest should receive a
confirmation that may include:
- Guest or reservation-holder name.
- Reservation or transaction reference number.
- Reservation dates and selected accommodation.
- Amount paid and transaction currency.
- Payment date and confirmation status.
- Hotel contact information.
Guests should retain their confirmation for future reference and
present it if assistance is required regarding the transaction.

A successful payment confirmation should not display the guest’s
complete card number or card security code.
7. Suspicious or Unauthorized Transactions
Guests who identify an incorrect, duplicated or unrecognized
transaction should contact El Kaoba Hotel & Residence as soon as
possible.
The guest may also need to contact their bank or card issuer depending
on the nature of the transaction. El Kaoba will review available
reservation and payment records to help clarify the matter.
Guests should contact the hotel before initiating a chargeback whenever
possible, so the transaction can first be reviewed directly.
8. Protecting Yourself Online
- Confirm that you are using the official elkaoba.com
website or an authorized reservation link provided by El Kaoba.
- Check that the payment page begins with https://
and displays a secure connection indicator in the browser.
- Do not complete payments through links received from unknown or
unverified senders.
- Never share your password, one-time security code or complete card
details with anyone claiming to represent the hotel.
- Contact El Kaoba directly if the payment amount, currency, page or
instructions appear unusual.
9. Privacy
Personal information related to reservations and payments is handled
according to the El Kaoba Hotel & Residence Privacy Policy and
applicable legal requirements.
Information may be shared with authorized reservation, payment and
financial-service providers only when reasonably necessary to process
the booking, complete the transaction, prevent fraud or meet legal
obligations.
